Crybaby was a musical that took place in RWCMD’s Richard Burton theatre in February 2026. This production was a collaboration of second and third year students to create a industry standard production.

Crybaby is an eccentric 50’s musical based on the musical Grease. The town is divided in two; the ‘Squares’ (squeaky clean, prim and proper) and the ‘Drapes’ (rough, rugged and rulebreakers). Crybaby follows the story of a Drape Wade Walker, known as Crybaby, as he tries to win the heart of a Square Alison.

These designs were inspired by music notes and classic 50s patterns with most of the fabric being atomic patterned. In this production i created a variety of garments as well as alterations and embellishments.
