Midsummer nights dream, originally written and produced by William Shakespeare, took place in RWCMD’s Carid Theatre in March 2026. This production was a modern interpretation of the original play, set in a boomtown-esque festival.

Four Athenians run away to the forest only to have Puck the fairy make both of the boys fall in love with the same girl. The four run through the forest pursuing each other while Puck helps his master play a trick on the fairy queen. In the end, Puck reverses the magic, and the two couples reconcile and marry.

This production of Midsummer Nights Dream follows a modern day setting, initially set in the center of a festival (based on Boomtown). For this production, I helped design and create Titania’s mask, Puck’s DJ barrels, the festival sign, as well as set and prop sourcing and scenic painting.
